A Wild Turkey Stuck in My Garden (aka The Turkey Who Forgot He Had Wings)!

wild turkey

It’s story time and tonight I am telling you the tale of the turkey who forgot he had wings.  I’m feeling a bit like Beatrix Potter as I say that (writing a tale about an animal in my garden).  Maybe this will become a children’s book of mine.  Who knows?! At any rate, it was funny and inspiring and very, very odd.  And you know, everything has a story.  Maybe you will be inspired to see things a different way in your own life and spin a yarn or two :D. The Glad Game-A Thanksgiving Gift Giveaway!

Thanksgiving is almost here, and to celebrate I have created another giveaway game for you!  You could win TWO free gifts that you can keep for yourself or give to someone for Christmas!    The game I have created is called the “Glad Game” and is based around gratitude.  Have you ever seen the old Disney movie “Polyanna”?  My inspiration for this game came from that movie.  The character Polyanna (played by Hayley Mills)  , plays the “glad game” in the movie by focusing on all there is to be glad about in life.  Her sunny attitude eventually starts to make a difference in the lives of those around her, even warming the hearts of a grumpy old recluse and another elderly lady who worries about her health all of … Continue Reading

The Layer Cake Sky Poem by weliveinspired.com

Happy Friday my Friends!  Bringing you some free verse poetry/prose today as I link up for another Five Minute Friday with Lisa Jo and the gang.  Today’s 5 minute writing challenge word is RED.  I wrote mine on a sunset I saw a couple of weeks ago, that I wanted to capture on photo, but couldn’t.  It was one of those magical skies that made you feel like you almost were not on the street you live, but on some island in the Caribbean for vacation.   Yes my friends, sometimes the mundane can be marvelous!  That is something you will often find me doing here at We Live Inspired– really SEEING what is in front of me and sharing my perspectives on it all.  I hope that you will … Continue Reading
