Meal planning. Such a mundane thing, right? Not to this girl! It’s a way I live inspired, so make sure to read until the end of this to discover how. Meal planning is something I never thought I would do. Did I mention I am seriously surprised at how organized I am getting as a married woman out on my own? Before you go thinking I have always been some perfect Martha Stewart who does everything just so, let me tell you that I have pretty much always been very messy and disorganized. But that is a story for a different day. HA! (I’m thinking about starting a series on true confessions. Where I confess the stuff I used to always be embarrassed about. We shall see!) … Continue Reading →
I can remember feeling both worried and super excited about all the changes that occurred in 2015. One of these was becoming an aunt (officially) and wondering what teenagers (more specifically college students) these days deem as “fun”. I’m laughing at myself because I realize how “old” that sounds. (She says in granny voice, “What are these teenagers up to these days?!!). Criminey to Pete- It’s only been like 16 years since I was that age. Things can’t be THAT different, right? “Well since you use phrases like Criminey to Pete, you MUST be out of touch with things and these teens will think you are “old” and stuff, ” her inner critic says. Happy start of the week inspired friends! Today I want to talk about what (for me) is a crucial part of living inspired-making every day a celebration! It is part of how I create a happy, joy filled life for myself that makes the mundane marvelous (as I like to say). You can do this in very little ways or in larger ways. It doesn’t have to be a holiday. In fact it is BEST when it isn’t one because it keeps life fun during those in between times. I’ll give you a few tips on how I create ongoing celebrations in my life and also share photos from the tea party I had this weekend as part of my ongoing Christmas/New Year and just plain Winter festivities. This … Continue Reading →
Happy Friday my Friends! Bringing you some free verse poetry/prose today as I link up for another Five Minute Friday with Lisa Jo and the gang. Today’s 5 minute writing challenge word is RED. I wrote mine on a sunset I saw a couple of weeks ago, that I wanted to capture on photo, but couldn’t. It was one of those magical skies that made you feel like you almost were not on the street you live, but on some island in the Caribbean for vacation. Yes my friends, sometimes the mundane can be marvelous! That is something you will often find me doing here at We Live Inspired– really SEEING what is in front of me and sharing my perspectives on it all. I hope that you will … Continue Reading →
It’s Five Min. Friday , which means today I am bringing you a fresh poem of inspiration , written in 5 minutes. Today the secret word of the day from Lisa-Jo was ORDINARY. You will find the five minute poem and image below, but first I wanted to give you a back story so that the image will make sense to you. My birthday was Feb. 27. As some of you may know , my Winter has been pretty dull as I have been struggling with a vertigo issue and having trouble sleeping through the night as well. Combine that with other factors of stress that have been going on behind the scenes, and well…it was looking like my birthday was going to be very ordinary at best. … Continue Reading →
