It’s story time and tonight I am telling you the tale of the turkey who forgot he had wings. I’m feeling a bit like Beatrix Potter as I say that (writing a tale about an animal in my garden). Maybe this will become a children’s book of mine. Who knows?! At any rate, it was funny and inspiring and very, very odd. And you know, everything has a story. I thought I’d share a simple post from my world tonight. It is mostly pictures. Today was my parents anniversary and they invited me over for a little ice cream sundae party. I was feeling quite tired tonight and was going to get a ride instead of walking, but I’m very glad I chose the walk instead. The sun happened to just be setting as I took off: I was walking down the street with a casserole dish of a fresh strawberry mango crisp dessert I had just baked , so I took these photos one handed with my cell phone haha. It’s Friday and you know what that means! Poetry in Five! Today’s word is GRATEFUL. This one flowed out so easily for me, but I wrote a free verse poem this week. Gratitude is one of my life’s practices and one of my favorite subjects :). I found it ironic that today’s word was Grateful, because just 2 days ago in an online workshop I am teaching, one of the ice-breaking games we did was going around in a circle and sharing what we were grateful for. It was such a fun and beautiful experience. There is something about not only stating your own gratitude, but hearing others state theirs as well, that I find powerful. It is so good for the soul. If you read my very first 2 part Blog post (To Everything There is a Season), then you know about the birth of Fluffy’s 2 kittens. (If you want to catch up and read this story in miracles click here) Today the kittens are 3 weeks old. The white kitten started to open her eyes at around the 10 day mark and the black one was lagging behind about a day or 2. When they first started to open their eyes they were just little partially open slits. Now they are wide open. So cute! They are growing so fast….
