God Has a Plan for Your Life – My Home Story Part 1

There are so many hurting people out there.  If you are going through a tough time right now, please know that you are not alone.  You are also not without hope (although at times I know it feels like it).  God has a plan for your life, and that is what I want to talk about today.  I am inspired to share on this topic because I have been contacted privately by several people in very dire circumstances lately, and while my life is in a good place right now, it has not always been this way.  I don’t know if I am called to help people through my own journey or not, but there was a long hard road I walked that led me to inspired living and to … Continue Reading

Tip of the Week – How I Make A Weekly Meal Plan

Meal planning. Such a mundane thing, right? Not to this girl! It’s a way I live inspired, so make sure to read until the end of this to discover how.   Meal planning is something I never thought I would do. Did I mention I am seriously surprised at how organized I am getting as a married woman out on my own? Before you go thinking I have always been some perfect Martha Stewart who does everything just so, let me tell you that I have pretty much always been very messy and disorganized. But that is a story for a different day. HA! (I’m thinking about starting a series on true confessions. Where I confess the stuff I used to always be embarrassed about. We shall see!)     … Continue Reading

It’s My Birthday + The Biggest Sale of the Year!

Hello Inspired Friends.  Today is my 36th birthday. Phew. I don’t know what it is about 36, but I was slightly disgruntled with it at first. I think because now I am over the middle hump inching closer to age 40, and moving farther away from my 20’s. We had our young 20 something year old neighbors over on Friday though and they asked our ages. When I told them I was turning 36 they were shocked. They were told by another neighbor that I was 27 haha and they thought I looked about their age.  Suddenly 36 isn’t looking so bad (and I guess they couldn’t see those 2 white eyebrow hairs I have now , ugh). To celebrate my birthday I am doing something crazy. I am having … Continue Reading

My Poem is Being Published! + Why You Shouldn’t Second Guess Yourself

im fabulous affirmation

Happy New Year inspired friends! I have some inspiration and encouragement to share with you today. This is for those of us who have ever felt vulnerable, silly after sharing something with people, or afraid to show our wonderful wacky selves to the world. This is also for those of us who sometimes are our own worst critics, who wonder if anyone will actually care about the stuff we create, who worry too much about what people think, and who sometimes (or maybe often) second guess ourselves. So this is pretty much all of us at some point, right? Something fabulous happened to me recently and it has been a reminder yet again of why I should NOT second guess myself (and why you shouldn’t either).   An Affirmation I … Continue Reading

My New Year’s Eve Ritual and How Un-Inspired It Used to Feel

I can’t believe we are about to start another new year.  What do you all do for New Year’s eve?  Do you have any special traditions?  True confession- New Year’s Eve always depressed me and I have never really liked it.  I guess it is partly all the hype of it being about these big fabulous parties that you are supposed to ring the new year in with. That and the general melancholy of saying goodbye to another year (and sometimes the people that went with it).  It seems like there is so much pressure to ring in the new year in some fabulous way, yet we never did.  (The bottom of this post will have some inspiration, so bear with me.)    New Year’s as a Child Growing up, … Continue Reading

Remembering My First Christmas Married

kenneth cole boots

Have you all had a good holiday season ?  I hope so!  I’m posting this a little late, as I started writing it Christmas Eve, but fell asleep.  A peek into my holiday this year though.. It’s after midnight on Christmas eve and I am about to go to bed. I have been sitting here in the cozy garden room with the candles glowing, the colored lights lit up on Matt’s bachelorhood dollar store tree, the nostalgic toys and ornaments I’ve saved my entire life (that are from Christmases past when I was a child), a cup of peppermint tea and 2 kitties on my lap.  I just finished watching one of my favorite holiday movies, “White Christmas”, with Bing Crosby and Rosemary Clooney. I had a wonderful Christmas eve.  … Continue Reading

My ETSY Store and Flash Sales for Holiday Shopping!

Yay! It’s here! Today I am sharing the link to my ETSY store with you all so you can check it out. I am SO excited! There are 2 things going on in my store this month to celebrate its launch.  First is that there is a coupon code for 10% off your order and it is good until December 31, 2016 (the code is LAUNCH10).  The second thing is that I am doing a 12 days of Christmas sale, where each day I knock more money off ONE item (the art creation of the day) for a 24 hour flash sale.  Today is the 7th day of Christmas, so I know I am posting this a little late (I’ve been a very busy little fairy elf).  Because of that, … Continue Reading

Announcements! Finally Revealing What I’ve Been Secretly Up to All Year!

Hi Everyone! I am FINALLY writing to announce what the heck I’ve been secretly up to this year and also sharing with you what that means as far as what my subscribers can expect now from this blog. I have so many hopes, dreams, passions, interests, and We Live Inspired has been an inspiring playground for me (and hopefully for those along on this ride with me) since I started it on a whim a few years ago.  The very first blog posts here were about animals, my documentations of the feral cat colony that appeared off our backyard, and our efforts to share their stories as I worked to help the situation.  I also blogged a lot of inspirational articles on ways I live inspired no matter what life … Continue Reading

Learning, Living, and Loving with Grace

“Grace. One of my favorite words. May we Be it. Live it. Embody it. Extend it. Receive it. Grace is one of the purest forms of love because one doesn’t have to do anything to earn it or deserve it.  When we love with Grace, we are loving like Jesus.  Sometimes that is a challenge and takes discipline!  Grace is a love that sees us at our worst, yet gives us pardon.  May we love others with Grace on the days they need it and love ourselves with Grace on the days when we are the ones in need. ” -Rebekah Ann Stephenson     I wrote that quote on a day when I was feeling challenged and needed to take time to breathe and talk to God so that … Continue Reading

A Pug Named Toast and How He Got His Name

A long time ago I wrote a post about the new addition to our family– a little boy that just happens to be a black pug.  We named him Toast!  There is a story behind this of course. So, this is the story of a pug named Toast and how he got his name. P.S. Toast has his own Instagram account. You can follow him or see all his photos there. His handle is @apugnamedtoast (click HERE to get there).   We actually had the name before we had the dog.  It was something Matt and I had talked about, laughed about and dreamed about for years.  We got the idea for a pug probably over a decade ago when we were watching one of the Men in Black movies … Continue Reading
