Introducing Warm Words of Wisdom (from my heart to yours)

Quotes by We Live Inspired

Today I am bringing you something new!  If you aren’t yet part of the We Live Inspired Facebook community, you haven’t seen a new feature I started recently called “Warm Words of Wisdom (from my ♥ to yours)” ©.  It’s where I share wisdom that I have either learned from my own experiences or that is inspired at that moment by the Holy Spirit speaking to my heart.  Ironically, an author I really enjoy (Holley Gerth) has started something called “Coffee for your Heart Wednesday” in which we bloggers are to write an encouraging post for our readers.  Since encouragement is what I do here anyway, and I just happened to start that new feature on Facebook-I thought this was perfect!  I hope you will enjoy this new feature :D.

The words that were given to me today are:

Don’t worry about the “How”!

Instead focus on the NOW.

Thank you God for these words because I got sucked back in to the “hows” myself this week!  I can tell you though friends, that every success I have ever had I have NOT focused on the how.  Once I remembered that, I let out a sigh of relief!

How can be a stopper word.  The thing I have learned is that the how doesn’t matter nearly as much as the START.  Just getting that ball rolling…even in the smallest baby steps of ways is better than sitting there worrying too much about HOW you are going to do it.  I have learned this lesson many times in various aspects in life.

The one that sticks out the most is in my home based business.  When I set out to seriously change my life’s direction and make some income from home I didn’t worry too much about the how.  The desire to make some much needed income at that time was more important to me than how on earth I was going to do it.  When I got that phone call from a lady introducing the wellness company to me, I joined.  Even though others didn’t think my success was likely, and I was living life very small, hardly any contacts to talk to, had barely any internet know how AND had ZERO clue how to build a successful business online.   I ended up being a success and this shy girl who had been keeping to herself with zero experience for these types of things went on to mentor literally hundreds of women and families!  I am still a team coach for this business (although I work part time instead of full time now) and have had as many as 127 team members at one time!  (thank you God)

How did I get there?!

Baby steps and little consistent actions to keep the ball rolling.  Focusing on what I could do NOW instead of worrying about how I would be a success.  As a mentor and coach, I have also watched numerous people too focused on the hows to just have faith and keep going.  That always makes me sad because I personally know how possible success is.

Another example is this very blog/website.  Once again-ZERO technical know how.  Not a computer “geek”, just a regular girl with a desire to share and inspire people.  What you see here is all created by me.  The web design, the techy stuff, the writing, etc.  Now that is a miracle in itself!  Ha!

If you have seen any posts about the miracle of a home we have (click HERE if not)- that too seemed like a hopeless situation at the time.  I dealt with some depression and hopelessness around the whole situation of my future and HOW it would all work out for me (and my future husband) in the end.  There are too many reasons to list why in this post, but just know that there have been times in my life where it seemed my situation would never turn around.

Interestingly enough it was when I let go of worrying about How and let God do his thing that I received more abundance in this area than I ever imagined.  I did have to step out in faith and get the ball rolling so to speak, but I gave up on worrying how it would all come together to Trust that it WOULD.

There are so many more examples that I could give you guys, but this would be a book.  Miracles do happen when we give up the need to figure everything out right this second.  I can be pretty analytical so trust me- I know how hard this can be sometimes.

I just want to encourage you today by letting you know that much more is possible than we think.  You never know what could happen tomorrow…who you could come across, what opportunities could be brought your way, what prayers could finally be answered.   Tomorrow may just be the day you receive your miracle!  That is what always keeps me going in all of my endeavors.  Hope and the possibility of miracles.  It is so awesome when we receive the fabulous things God had in store for us as a result of not giving up!

You’ll never know what fabulous things could occur if you stop yourself with the “Hows” my friends.  It can be hard some days, but we have to trust that all things work together for good (Romans 8:28).  If you are finding yourself worrying about the Hows today, remember to focus on the Now and just keep doing your thing.  Things will start to happen.  You’ll see ;).

Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all He has done. (Philippians 4:6 NLT)

Hugs and High Fives! ,

Rebekah
