In Between Miracles-Poetry in Five

Sorry I missed last week’s Five Minute Friday, but I am back today to see what inspiration I can bring you in just five minutes with the word prompt this week of IN BETWEEN.  When I heard the word(s) today I immediately started singing a fav. Dave Matthews Band song called The Space Between.  I have no idea how listening to that song inspired me to think of the phrase “In Between Miracles” but that is where I am going writing wise today and I don’t know if it will rhyme or not.  We shall see!  I am going to offer you a fresh perspective that is popping in my head though.  A different way of viewing life.

In Between Miracles:

What if we lived as if everything were a miracle?

All the bad spots and valleys of our lives merely an in between spot…

In Between Miracles that is!

Albert Einstein once said ,

“There are only two ways to live your life.

One is as though nothing is a miracle.

The other is as though everything is a Miracle.”

Living Inspired is about living as though Everything is a Miracle:

Those tiny fingers and toes of a newborn babe held tightly to a proud mother’s breast.

The way the animals know how to birth and nurture their young without any assistance-

The way they know what to do to survive.

The unfolding of tiny buds in Spring,

That open and change to bear a ripe fruit in due season.

The way the rain, and the soil, and the sun

Provide “life” and make it all possible.

The way storms are necessary for growth

and are sometimes followed by rainbows.

The way the seasons change ,

Causing landscapes to shift-

Creating these varying shapes and textures of Wonder.

A feast for the eyes and the senses.

The way the Sun knows how to come up every day,

and the Moon has a cycle all of its own.

The ways the seas and the tides are affected by it.

The way that even in the blackness of night-

We are provided with magical pinpoints of light called Stars.

The way music can touch our souls,

And people can touch our hearts.

The way our needs are met –

Even if not in Our way and in Our time.

The way our paths cross with each other at just the right time-

Often filling a need or purpose we may not even be aware of at the time.

It is no accident.

Miracles are everywhere,

If only we stop and stoop to meet them.

So next time you find yourself lacking Hope,

Doubting that the tides will turn,

Forgetting to trust the process,

Remember This-

All is not lost.

They are not far off.

You are merely “In Between Miracles”.

Here is a rainbow for you my friends!

Inspiring Rainbows

This rainbow appeared as I receiving one of my miracles a few weeks ago.  A miracle that was received after a two year wait.  (make no mistake though, there were tons of other smaller miracles peppered in there too :)).  I will be sharing the story (and exciting announcement for those who don’t know yet) of my miracle here at We Live Inspired when things slow down a bit here soon.

Don’t forget that on this journey of Living Inspired Together, we want to be miracle or blessings hunters!

They really are everywhere, and in my toughest times of life, it is keeping an eye open for miracles (big or small) that has kept my joy or kept me going.  Something crazy and wonderful happens when you make a point to SEE miracles regularly too.  You will have more of them in your life.  Not because they were never there before (although the law of attraction does have something to do with it), but because you are shifting your mind to NOTICE them.  The more you practice it, the easier it gets.

I suggest recording your little (or big) blessings/miracle finds in a journal so that you can look back on those dark days and see just how blessed you really are :D.

In the meantime- Did you get that magical rainbow I sent you?!  Tuck it inside the pocket of your heart and pull it out as a reminder on days when you feel a miracle is far off.

Wishing you Sunshine, Lollipops and Rainbows,

Rebekah

Love the pic and the words that go with it. Feeling somewhat between miracles here but ever aware they are all around and contributing to the current crazy. Things that on the surface might seem wrong have things to be so grateful for as well. blessings 🙂

  2. Nice job. Great reminder. Miracles are definitely around us, just waiting to be seen.

It’s like living like a child, isn’t it? In constant wonder? Living with an appreciation for the magical.

  6. This is beautiful!! I could picture everything you described in my mind’s eye. So very true. This world is full of miracles if we only take the time to open our eyes and see them. 🙂
