This is my story of managing multiple dreams and goals at once and how the bumble bees in my garden, along with some wisdom from friends, have inspired me to know that I don’t have to choose and I can pursue all that my heart desires. Have you ever struggled with keeping the balance between the everyday life stuff and the passions/desires of your heart? Do you ever feel like there isn’t enough time for it all? As many of you may know, I’ve been doing a lot of things this year (many of which I haven’t revealed here yet!). Because one of my theme words for this year is “simple”, I have been of this mindset that I “should” only do one main thing and put everything else … Continue Reading →
It’s story time and tonight I am telling you the tale of the turkey who forgot he had wings. I’m feeling a bit like Beatrix Potter as I say that (writing a tale about an animal in my garden). Maybe this will become a children’s book of mine. Who knows?! At any rate, it was funny and inspiring and very, very odd. And you know, everything has a story. Because of the houses and trees in the way I wasn’t able to quite capture the full effect of this gorgeous sunset. There was a … Continue Reading →
The past two weeks I have been delinquent with my Friday poetry, so I have an especially lovely treat to make up for that today! This treat comes along with news I have been meaning to share, but was waiting until everything was final before spilling the beans. Today’s word Lisa Jo asked us to write on was the word BELONG. I chose to write a rhyming poem about my garden! So the big news is that after years of struggles, and then 2 years after being second in line for homes and a few disappointments, Matt and I have bought our first home!! God has given me more than I could have ever imagined, and I have been so busy with it all. SO much excitement and so … Continue Reading →
