An important piece of living inspired is mindfulness.  Mindfulness is about finding inspiration in the little every day things.  Practicing mindfulness and living life with your senses turned on is a great way to experience gratitude! (I’ll be talking about enjoying the sense of smell today).  As you all know, I am BIG on gratitude.  Gratitude is the pathway to a life of true joy, satisfaction, peace and attracting more good things.  This wasn’t always the way I lived, but this is how bit by bit I pulled myself up out of a series of unfortunate events that made life miserable, to create a life that fills me with a deep sense of joy and purpose now.  Gratitude is an act of worship!  What a wonderful way to move in … Continue Reading

Life is a Miracle-How Can We Not Be Grateful?

Up Close Picture of a Violet or Viola

It’s Friday and you know what that means!  Poetry in Five!  Today’s word is GRATEFUL. This one flowed out so easily for me, but I wrote a free verse poem this week.  Gratitude is one of my life’s practices and one of my favorite subjects :).  I found it ironic that today’s word was Grateful, because just 2 days ago in an online workshop I am teaching, one of the ice-breaking games we did was going around in a circle and sharing what we were grateful for.  It was such a fun and beautiful experience.  There is something about not only stating your own gratitude, but hearing others state theirs as well, that I find powerful.  It is so good for the soul.  So without further ado, here … Continue Reading

Friday Poem-When Being Sticky Was Fun and We Didn’t Worry About Messes!

The Layer Cake Sky Poem by weliveinspired.com

Happy Friday my Friends!  Bringing you some free verse poetry/prose today as I link up for another Five Minute Friday with Lisa Jo and the gang.  Today’s 5 minute writing challenge word is RED.  I wrote mine on a sunset I saw a couple of weeks ago, that I wanted to capture on photo, but couldn’t.  It was one of those magical skies that made you feel like you almost were not on the street you live, but on some island in the Caribbean for vacation.   Yes my friends, sometimes the mundane can be marvelous!  That is something you will often find me doing here at We Live Inspired– really SEEING what is in front of me and sharing my perspectives on it all.  I hope that you will … Continue Reading
