What I Did in 2015 (A Document of My Life)

Hello Inspired Readers!   Here I go again being MIA on the blog 🙁 .  2015 and now going in to 2016 is full of tons of NEW for me.  I haven’t gone anywhere, I am not abandoning this blog.  I do apologize for posting less in the past year than I used to.  There is a reason for that and it has to do with putting together all the pieces of who I am and what I want to give to the world.  I am working diligently behind the scenes on getting these pieces put together so I can share it all with you, while still adjusting to the first year of being a wife and living in my own home with my man.  I am quirky in that … Continue Reading

A Holiday Home Tour For You

Hello Inspired Friends! I’ve made 2 Holiday home tour videos for you and am including a few photos as well.  The photos will be grainy because they were taken with my cell phone at our evening gathering with nothing but candles and twinkle lights on.  Watch the videos though, because at least one of those is well lit so that you can see the decor I did better (plus it shows more of the house, as I’ve only included a few photos below for a sampling).    I’d like to invite you in to my home for the holidays 😀 .  I planned on getting this out to you MUCH sooner, but have been run down and feeling icky and have just now started to feel more like a person … Continue Reading

Announcing a New Addition to Our Family!

pug puppy

Hello Inspired Friends, I’ve been away too long again and missing you and this blog.  This has been the busiest year for me in the past 15 years of my life, with the wedding and the moving to a new home, new job opportunities, etc.  To add to all the newness, we have now added a new member to our little family.  He’s a baby and it’s a boy, but not of the human variety yet ;).  He’s a little black pug puppy and he is adorable!!   Matt and I have dreamed of having a pug for a very long time (throughout our dating years).  When we got a house Matt really wanted a dog.  I think he felt a bit left out because we were the only non … Continue Reading

I’m Back and I’m Married!!

Hello Inspired Friends!  I’m sorry I haven’t blogged in forever.  I didn’t plan on going on a blogging break for so long.  It all just sort of happened!  You may remember me talking about being engaged and wanting to get married this year.  We hadn’t set a date yet, but I had it in my heart that I wanted to get married on the anniversary of when we first met.  So much stuff was going on over the Winter, and then my I had some graphic design work I was doing, among other things.  I just didn’t know if I could pull it off.  Of course you may have guessed by the title that I did!  We set the date officially back in April some time and then I worked … Continue Reading

Easter Memories from My Childhood

Spring photo of me as a child

Happy Easter inspired friends!  I meant to write sooner, but have been taking care of myself.  I was down in bed with a nasty cold and a mild fever for the past week, so that is why I’ve been missing again.  It’s the night before Easter Sunday and I am sitting here in a cozy room with my cat thinking about the meaning of Easter and how I’ve celebrated it over the years.  Today I will be sharing some Easter memories from my childhood with you and I would love to hear your Easter traditions and memories too!  Head on over to the blog to leave a comment or send an email if you’d like to share :).        Easter Sunday Church Services & What We Wore:   I … Continue Reading

Letters From Rebekah- The Plastic Snow and Other Oddities

Dear Inspired Friends, Spring is almost here and it has been awhile since I’ve posted.  I thought it was the perfect time for an old fashioned letter from me to you!  Things have been humming along at an alarmingly fast rate it seems (does anyone else feel like time is speeding up or something?  Wasn’t it just Christmas…).   There have been oddities too.  The quirky things in life are what make it fun and interesting though!  Take the “plastic” snow for example.  Winter has been hanging on here in Michigan (we had one almost 70 degree day this week, but we are expecting snow again).  Just a couple weeks ago when I stepped outside my house late one night I was greeted by the oddest looking snow scene I’ve … Continue Reading

Letters from Rebekah-It’s Been a Rough Couple Weeks!

” And hard times are good in their own way too.  Because the only way you can achieve true happiness is if you experience true sadness as well.  It’s all about light and shade.  Balance. “ – Gabrielle Williams       I have found this to be so true in my life, and for that reason I wouldn’t completely eradicate the dark times.  While I live inspired and write inspiring things for my readers (and for my own healing for that matter!), it is important for me to also share the hard times with you.  I want you to know that my living inspired is a choice.  It’s grown out of a 15 year journey of personal trials and self discovery, which has ultimately led to finding myself again. … Continue Reading

A Summer Update from Rebekah

Hello inspired friends!  You may have noticed that it’s been a couple weeks since I last posted something here.  This Summer I have been finding myself up to my eyeballs in projects.  As busy as I have been though, I have also made time for PLAY and of course living inspired, which is pretty much a daily practice/way of life for me.  I thought it may be nice to write a sort of casual Summer letter to you all to keep you updated on the goings on my way!  In fact, I just added a diary style section to my blog/website called “Letters from Rebekah”, which will be under the cozy cottage tab on the website.  I thought this would be a nice, informal way to connect with all of … Continue Reading
